Honor those who served at the annual Veterans Day ceremony hosted by the Des Moines Memorial Drive Preservation Association. Beginning with a commemorative bell ringing at 11 a.m. to mark the 1918 armistice, the program brings together military tributes, local history, and patriotic music.

Highlights include a presentation of colors by Burien American Legion Post #134, an eagle standard presentation and Indigenous veterans presentation from Unkitawa, remarks by historian Chris Plyman, and music by soloist Kate Bysheim and the Highline Community Symphonic Band. Explore indoor exhibits about Des Moines Memorial Drive and veterans’ service, along with a WWI-era ambulance display, weather permitting. Refreshments will be provided.
