The annual Burien Independence Day Parade takes place in 2025 from 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM in downtown Burien. This community parade is a fun, family-friendly event that is open to all participants, both as spectators and as marchers! If you want to march in the parade, be sure to reserve your spot in advance, since only 100 groups will be allowed to march in keeping with the centennial theme.

Morgen-Fun-Run
Beginnen Sie den Tag mit einem 2,8 km langen Fun-Run, der um 10:25 Uhr beginnt. Egal, ob Sie mitmachen, um zu gewinnen, oder einfach nur gemütlich joggen wollen, der Fun Run ist für jeden geeignet. Die Teilnahme ist kostenlos, und Sie können sich vor Ort im Startbereich in der Nähe der Marvista-Grundschule anmelden. Kommen Sie bis 9.30 Uhr, um sich anzumelden und Ihre Startnummer abzuholen!

Kinderparade
Um 10.30 Uhr startet die lebhafte Kinderparade auf dem Marvista-Parkplatz. Schmücken Sie Ihre Autos, Fahrräder oder Wagen oder marschieren Sie im Rhythmus der Musikkapellen mit. Jeder ist herzlich eingeladen, mitzumachen - Hauptsache, ihr seid fröhlich und habt Spaß! Bitte beachten Sie, dass Sie keinen Wahlkampf betreiben und keine politischen Schilder aufstellen dürfen. Kommen Sie spätestens um 10:15 Uhr in Marvista an oder treffen Sie sich irgendwo auf der Strecke, die am Cove-Gebäude endet.

Picknick und Live-Musik
Nach der Parade, gegen 11:15 Uhr, treffen Sie sich auf dem Rasen des Cove-Gebäudes zu einer Reihe kostenloser Leckereien wie Hot Dogs, Getränke, Popcorn und Eiscreme. Genießen Sie Live-Musik, Gesichtsbemalung und sehen Sie sich Oldtimer an, während die Kinder den aufblasbaren Hindernisparcours bewältigen oder ihr Glück im Tauchbecken versuchen. Verpassen Sie nicht die Chance, lokale Berühmtheiten wie Mt Rainier Rektor Kyle Linman und Chief Dan Yourkoski einzutauchen!
